Focusing on City Hall

Spotted this at Ulrich's Saturday evening.

While "Citi-Cam" is being installed all over City Hall, we learned from Ulrich's owner, Jim Daley Jr. that the Buffalo News was already coverning it in Saturday's paper.

As City Hall goes, so goes Buffalo.

"Please pardon the dust," said the sign in the men's room of Ulrich's, the venerable downtown outpost of German beer and potato pancakes, where a few tiles were being replaced this week.

"This project is funded by a Homeland Security grant. It will be completed after the mayor gets his security cameras."

Ulrich's is on-line and just East of Main Street at 674 Ellicott Street, corner of Virginia. Wonder if Byron likes potato pancakes?

There is a quality even meaner than outright ugliness or disorder, and this meaner quality is the dishonest mask
of pretended order, achieved by ignoring or suppressing the real order that is struggling to exist and to be served.
