Open Houses and City Schools...

First wrote about this City owned little place in September - right here. Checked back the other day as it's located directly across the street from Buffalo Public School #53. Still wide open. Here's the backside.

What's really amazing is that three additional residential properties, adjacent to this little spot and also directly across the street from school #53, are wide open, too. Here's the map!

Guess when Byron gave himself an "A" last week, right here - more about that later, as no one in the local Buffalo Blogosphere has commented on this - he probably didn't check to see if these places were secure. More about Open Houses and City Schools, very soon...should be interesting!

With neighborhoods like THAT which resemble bombed out Iraq how can a mayor believe that they are doing a great job? It amazes me that he gets paid to run the city more into the ground.Instead of facing the problem and offering 1st time buyers a chance to work with city to save homes and help themselves, the "mayor" lets the places rot and knocks them down. He should have joined ringling brothers as a clown. he's a buffoon and a bozo and Buffolonians are even more ignorant to PAY the moron to make city worse.

Zero tolerance is very important. Lock em up and save the streets and neighborhoods. Block watches, more police a mayor who cares. I'd say if the people decide to keep the mayor and police commisioner who seem to being doing nothing than the people get what they deserve. Time for new blood fresh ideas . Save the awesome homes you have some of the nicest seen. Sell em cheap or give em away to people to be proud of and reinvest. Stop the bulldozers! Save the history. Bozos need to go! The ones you have running the city are running it into the ground. The people who live in the city should open their mouths and demand change or get mayor and police commisioner out of office.

The "A" that Bryon gave himself must have been for Asshole. With him in charge its no wonder everyone puts out a for sale sign and tries to get out before he does more damage.

Where is the future for the kids of Buffalo when they leave school everyday to see that area that surrounds the school? Buffalos elected officials are taking care of the city? How much hope would young children have when they see their surroundings in so much decay like bombed out warzones. The mayor is a disgrace. Its a sin the children see this daily as their future in Buffalo.

what would be the motivation for young buffalo kids to study hard and do well when the walk past that blight everyday. if i were a young buffalo child i would promise myself to do well and make something of myself so i could get OUT of the place.the buildings are great hold so much potential as homes. sell em for one dollar if u need to, to people that need a home and dont mind being urban pioneers. show pride in where u live.take back ur streets! wherever i have worked if someone didnt do the job they were hired for they were out! why do the mayor and police commisioner get paid at all when this is what they give back to buffalo?
