According to the City's website, 24 Coe Place is a two-family home that was purchased by its current owner in 1995 for $4,500. It's currently assessed at $10,000.
Chris Hawley's Midtown: Poised for Renaissance captures the character of Coe Place perfectly:Coe Place is the most historically and urbanistically significant street in the Midtown neighborhood. At one time a brick pedestrian pathway, converted to a residential street by a quixotic nineteenth-century skating rink operator, Coe Place is a charming, very narrow street, originally no more than fifteen feet wide, lined with a collection of close-knit Queen Anne-style houses whose singular attributes are unmatched anywhere else in Buffalo. read the rest...
- update...These two very vulnerable Coe Place properties are available, too. Four Coe Place properties have sold in recent months. One house for $1500.00 and three houses, in a package, for $10,000/house.
- update...9/9/06 12:30pm...just got off the phone with Tom, the current owner. New mechanics on the inside of this Coe Place beauty. Two one bedroom apartments! Tom's e-mail. Hurry, it won't last!

Chris,
Don't know the asking price yet, imagine it to be in the mid 30's...
Any thought how we can unbundle the 28 & 39 from MBBA's grasp?
btw...you missed a great party at Artspace this afternoon...
Have you been inside this house by chance? If so, what's its condition overall? Would it be necessary to retain all the concrete up to the house's foundation? Can't all be city property.
spoke with Tom, the owner the other day. He described his work as a total rehab, about 10 years ago.
Haven't looked at a deed for any of the Coe Place properties yet...so can't answer the question.
Most of the concrete is City property; the lot is only 48 feet deep and the house occupies almost all of it.
