While visiting the 'Buffalo Forge' site the other day down on Broadway, we quickly checked out what was happening next door at the former Sattler Theatre. Click the second pic in the series to see the proximity. The door was literally open.

I first wrote about this Buffalo Theatre, about a year ago, Buffalo's Former East Side Theatre District. The "order to vacate" was stapled to the door back then. Today, it's stenciled. Ranjit, still has the best on-line piece - Buffalo's Forgotten Theatres.
Perhaps one of the eleven pieces of heavy equipment next door will end up knocking this one down. Could "demolition by neglect" be contagious? We'll see.

There are very very few of these old theaters left in Buffalo. There once were hundreds of them now you can count them on one hand. Main Street only has Shea's left and even that one was targeted for demo at one time. This building really must be saved!

Agreed. A survey of ownership and use has to be done. Adaptive re-use is so on the table with anything that is done here...
