Two blocks from Artspace! The City of Buffalo has owned 115 Northampton since last year's tax sale. Here's the map. The house appears to be in structurally sound condition. You'll need windows, electric, plumbing and loads of assorted materials to finish off this 3/3 double. There are plenty of unique architectural features and I can only imagine you'll find a few more under the aluminum siding. I'll have interior pics in a few days...
The lot next door - 117 Northampton - wraps around 115 in "L" fashion and is zoned commercial. The City owns it, too. I've posted about a number of other properties between Main and Michigan along Northampton. This beauty at 1093 Ellicott is still available.
"Vinyl Village" is two blocks away!

Lots of potential here but what's with the Christmas lights?
I think they come with the house!
I remember the house being occupied two years ago...
Ellicott still available because greedy real estate agent thinks its a goldmine. Hello! What do the comps sell for?
The house is gone now and Buffalo ReUse's Americorps/Green Spaces team is working with the neighbors to transform the 2 parcels into a passive park which welcomes folks to the neighborhood--we're putting in a pathway that is lined with strawberries and violets and some low stonework to deter illegal dumping. Our biggest challenge so far is getting rid of that japanese knot weed.
