Love on Coe Place...

Been writing about Coe Place since I started blogging a few years ago. And was first introduced to Buffalo's coolest one block street 10 years ago. This summer Roy and Jen - Maggie in the middle - have been working endless hours to bring their spot in the middle of the block up to speed.

Had the chance to stop by on Thursday afternoon to check in on with them - excellent post Thanksgiving party last Friday, too - before the weather turned. Seems like it might have been the last good day for awhile. Roy has been busydoing all sorts of heavy lifting with things around here and Jen picked out the plum and cinnamon color combination. Really cool...the transformation of Coe Place is only just beginning...

Was just in San Francisco last week. This house is a million and half house there. Keep restoring, and just maybe someday Buffalo will be rich, too.

There is a quality even meaner than outright ugliness or disorder, and this meaner quality is the dishonest mask
of pretended order, achieved by ignoring or suppressing the real order that is struggling to exist and to be served.
