That is a damn shame!
So why doesn't the mayor have Buffalo ReUse on this to salvage what can be saved and follow that with an immediate demolition?
Mary
wow, what a beauty of a house...and an absolute shame at the same time.
Second Empire design but with a replacement porch that appears almost mission-style – both house and porch beyond repair.
Another lost piece of craftsmanship!
Shame.
anyone know the address? I'd be interested to research the history.
Anon -
The house is located at 98 Laurel on the city's east side and has been owned by the city for the past three years.
I first posted about it three years ago, here - http://fixbuffalo.blogspot.com/2006/09/heartbreak-in-hood.html
If you decide to do some research about this house, please let me know what you find.
Best,
David
