Pedestrian Friendly Sidewalk - Main Street

While walking home from CEPA the other night, I almost bumped into this sign. First time I've walked the mile in a while. Smack in the middle of the pedestrian right of way at the corner of Carlton and Main Streets. Went back on Tuesday while picking up things at Hyatts, right across the street.

Anybody know who put it here? Like to know why. Other pictures of poorly placed signs, let me know.

    This sign appears to violate American with Disabilities Act access requirements. Ironic that it has been placed there by a hospital.

    Just one more example (albeit a classic -- and one three blocks from my home on MAIN STREET) of how clueless the city government is to the issue of useable access to its sidewalks
